Sweater Vest

Finished a knitting project! Always a nice feeling. Much more solid than that feeling of completion after cleaning the kitchen or vacuuming or any household chore, really. You complete those knowing you get to complete them again in a few hours or the next day. Wooo… Bleeeeeeh.

An even better feeling? The weather being cooperatively cool enough for wearing my new knitted vest, rather than having to wait until next fall!

That being said, the gardener in me is looking forward to warmer weather.

Cables are fun.

Please forgive the small, poorly lighted photos. Timing is everything and the kids do love to ruin timing.

The yarn for this was a gift from my sister-in-law. It’s cashmere, so I will be taking this off probably never. I wrote the pattern myself. …I might get around to typing it out at some point. That would require a little less of doing All The Other Things, though.

I love that aspect of knitting where you finish your art project, and magically end up with a totally practical thing you can use forever. And finishing projects means being that much closer to buying more yarn!

…What stash problem? *whistles nonchalantly*

It’s beautiful, Katy. You have a gift for both design and knitting!
Don’t wear it drinking coffee- that would be the end of a lovely vest… 🙂
